Dubrovnik in November
Dubrovnik, Croatia
Dubrovnik in summer is a tourist nightmare. In November its a different city - empty walls, sunny afternoons (often), restaurants where you can walk in. Half the magic of the place is having it to yourself.
Day by Day
Day 1

- Walk the city walls - this is the main event, take 2 hours.
- Afternoon.
- Walk Stradun end to end, slow lunch.

- Cable car up to Mount Srdj for the view.
- Afternoon.
- Ferry to Lokrum island if its running.
- Evening.
- Wine at D'Vino, dinner at Pantarul.
Where to Stay
- Budget. Old Town Hostel - rare to find central beds here.
- Mid-range. Hotel Stari Grad - tiny boutique inside the walls.
- Splurge. Hotel Excelsior - just outside the walls, sea view.
Where to Eat
Pantarul
Outside the walls in Lapad. Modern Croatian, lovely.
Proto
Old institution, classic Dalmatian fish.
Buza Bar
Drinks on the rocks outside the walls. Iconic.
One local tip nobody tells you
Skip the Game of Thrones tours and just walk the walls slowly. You'll see all the locations and youll actually enjoy it.
