Weekend in Tallinn Old Town

Tallinn, Estonia

Tallinn's Old Town is one of the best preserved in Europe and you can walk the whole thing in a morning. But the new bits - Telliskivi, Kalamaja - are where the city actually lives now. Do both, you'll get the full picture.

Morning.
Coffee at Reval Cafe, walk the city walls.
Afternoon.
Toompea hill for the view, then down to Raekoja Plats.
Evening.
Dinner at Rataskaevu 16 - book ahead, no joke.

Day 2

Morning.
Telliskivi Creative City - coffee, breakfast, browsing.
Afternoon.
Seaplane Harbour museum for something completely different.
Evening.
Drinks at F-Hoone or Frank, easy goodbye dinner.

One local tip nobody tells you

If you visit in December, the Christmas market on Town Hall Square is one of the prettiest in Europe and far quieter than the German ones.
